Update 2/20/2018: The release of TacTec tires has been delayed until further notice.

Toro rolled out a new 24-inch stand-on aerator and the Z Master 7500-D Series zero-turn mower. It also released TacTec airless tires for select diesel-powered zero-turn mowers.

Reaching ground speeds of up to 6.5 mph, Toro’s new 24-inch stand-on aerator features a hydraulic valve to adjust operator weight and electronic depth control to maximize power to aerate. The aerator fits through a standard 36-inch gate and offers plug depths of up to 5 inches in length.

An intuitive smart controller displays depth control highlighted by a supervisor maximum depth lockout, maintenance reminders and tine activation lockout.

The 24-inch stand-on aerator is compatible with a seed spreader attachment, allowing operators to pull plugs and overseed on a single machine.

“We believe the new 24-inch stand-on aerator is an excellent machine for landscape contractors who want all the performance and productivity of a larger stand-on aerator in a more nimble and maneuverable package,” said Chris Vogtman, marketing manager at Toro. “Being able to reach areas with a stand-on unit that could previously only be accessed by a walk-behind unit is a real benefit to landscape contractors and their crews.”

The diesel-powered Toro Z Master 7500-D Series zero-turn mower features side and rear discharge commercial cutting decks ranging from 60 to 96 inches. The adjustable wing decks of the 96-inch cutting deck model flex up and down to hug the contours of the terrain for a smooth and consistent cut, according to the company. The Turbo Force cutting deck features a bullnose bumper, greaseless cast-iron spindles, side bumpers and is equipped with a hydraulic deck lift.

Powered by a tier-4, four-cylinder, 1.6-liter, 37-hp, Yanmar diesel engine, the new Z Master 7500-D Series features a 12.5-gallon fuel tank and can reach ground speeds of up to 12.5 miles per hour.

The 7500-D features an iso-mounted floor pan and a deluxe suspension seat that reduce vibrations, bumps and impacts during mowing. The unit is also equipped with the next generation Horizon Technology, Toro’s onboard intelligence system designed to increase productivity through defined performance modes, reduce fuel consumption, monitor machine health and allow for operator-defined maintenance reminders.

“This new model combines the speed and maneuverability of a traditional zero-turn mower with the power and productivity of a large-scale commercial mower,” said Chris Hannan, senior marketing manager at Toro. “This new mower also delivers the quality of cut that is expected of Toro products and the large 96” cutting deck will improve productivity versus smaller decks.”

This new mower series is backed by a five-year, 2,000-hour warranty.

Toro introduced the TacTec flat-free tires for select Toro zero-turn mowers.

The new TacTec tires will eliminate the possibility of flats, resulting in less downtime and increased productivity, according to the company. The tires feature a greater contact area, resulting in more even wear. In addition, the new tires absorb bumps, improving comfort and reducing operator fatigue.

The new 24-inch Toro TacTec drive tires are available for 48- to 72-inch Z Master models. In addition, the tires feature higher payload and can be used in conjunction with powered bagger attachments.

TacTec flat-free tires will be available in spring of 2018 from national retailers.
