PBI-Gordon Corp.’s Surge Broadleaf Herbicide for Turf received a Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act section 2(ee) recommendation for control of doveweed in nine states:

• Alabama;
• Florida;
• Georgia;
• Louisiana;
• Mississippi;
• North Carolina;
• South Carolina;
• Texas; and
• Virginia.

The recommendation comes on the heels of research at Mississippi State University that found the water-based formulation delivered 85 percent control of doveweed.

Surge is most effective for late spring, early summer and fall weed control needs, and is highly selective in both warm- and cool-season turfgrasses.
