Stihl added its new HTA 65 fixed length pole pruner and 94 R KombiMotor to its Stihl KombiSystem line of products.

Powered by 36-volt lithium-ion battery technology, the HTA 65 eliminates the need for gasoline and two-cycle oil. According to the company, the pruner’s motor produces little noise and vibration.

“This pole pruner gives tree service personnel, landscape professionals, and homeowners the convenience and simplicity they’re looking for,” said Kent Hall, senior product manager for Stihl. “It’s cordless, there’s no motor or filter maintenance, and it starts with the squeeze of a trigger.”

Stihl also introduced its 94 R KombiMotor, which works with all 14 attachments in the Stihl KombiSystem line for cutting, trimming, clearing and more. The new motor features an ecospeed throttle that allows for adjustment of the machine’s throttle speed as well as an ergonomic loop handle. The motor’s slim design also makes it comfortable to operate and effortless to maneuver, reports the company.

“Having one tool like this streamlines a landscaper’s entire operation,” said Marv Mathwig, product manager of power tools for Stihl. “Weighing in at only 8.8 pounds, it’s the lightest weight Stihl KombiMotor, which helps to reduce fatigue during long days on the job.”
