SiteOne Landscape Supply opened its first regional distribution center Feb. 2 in Fairburn, Ga. The 193,000-square-foot facility is the first of three planned distribution centers.
“The addition of our first distribution center is a big step forward in delivering on our company vision,” said Doug Black, CEO of SiteOne.
The centers will provide logistical support to the company’s 469 locations nationwide and improve product availability and customer service in the southern U.S., SiteOne said.
“This facility will allow us to deliver a superior level of service and value to our customers by ensuring best-in-industry product availability at their local store,” Black said. “It will also improve operational efficiency across our supply chain and with our suppliers. We are extremely excited to achieve this new level of partnership with our customers and suppliers.”
The new distribution center will begin making deliveries in February. SiteOne plans to roll out two more facilities, which will service the North and West divisions, over the next year and a half.
