SiteOne acquires Kansas City distributor

|

SiteOne_webSiteOne Landscape Supply acquired the distribution business of Loma Vista Nursery, a Kansas City, Kan.-based distributor of nursery and hardscape products that started in 1991. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“Loma Vista is a strong leader in the market and their nursery and hardscape business is a perfect complement to our existing business in agronomics, irrigation and outdoor lighting,” said Doug Black, CEO of SiteOne Landscape Supply. “Joining forces with the Loma Vista team allows us to continue to expand our reach in the Kansas City area to better serve our customers with a full suite of product offerings. Loma Vista has a 25-year history of providing world class service and quality products to its customers. We’re proud to have all of the talented Loma Vista associates on our team.”

Loma Vista has two distribution locations in the Kansas City area. The acquisition of Loma Vista’s distribution business provides SiteOne with its first nursery locations in the market and bolsters the existing hardscape offering.

Loma Vista Site Manager Clark Woods said the plan is for Loma Vista employees and leadership to stay on board through the transition, which will begin in 2017.

A request for additional comment from SiteOne was not immediately answered.

SiteOne, which went public in May, has recently completed the acquisitions of Glen Allen Nursery in Virginia, Blue Max Materials in North Carolina, Bissett in New York City and Hydro-Scape Products in California. In August, Black called the IPO “successful,” as it released its second quarter earnings report.
