Tree, shrub and lawn care firm SavATree acquired Sterling, Va.-based Thrive Plant Health Care Solutions, expanding SavATree’s presence in Virginia. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The company also made an acquisition in Colorado earlier this year.

“We are excited to merge with Thrive Plant Health Care Solutions,” said Daniel van Starrenburg, CEO of SavATree. “The integration of the Sterling, Va., office, located between our Rockville, Md., and Springfield, Va., branches, provides expanded capabilities that will enable faster and more efficient servicing of our clients.”

SavATree, based in Bedford Hills, N.Y., has been caring for properties throughout the Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Midwest and Western regions for more than 30 years. Thrive was founded by Ron Rubin in 2003. Both firms hold accreditations from the Tree Care Industry Association.

“What drew me to SavATree was the company’s expertise, sustainable services and dedication to providing exceptional customer service,” said Rubin, who will stay with the company. “By sharing similar philosophies and values, I know our clients will continue to enjoy outstanding service and our employees will continue to be treated to exceptional support and benefits.”

SavATree ranked No. 16 on the 2016 LM150 list of the largest landscape companies with nearly $86 million in 2015 revenue.
