Richard Cohen Landscape & Construction, located in Orange County, Calif., was awarded the Stuart J. Sperber Memorial Sweepstakes Trophy Award for Best of Show in the state of California from the California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA). Richard Cohen Landscape also was recognized in the lighting category.  The awards were given in recognition of its work at a private residence in the Crystal Cove area of Newport Beach.

“I am proud that our work was awarded the Stuart J. Sperber Memorial Sweepstakes Trophy Award,” said Richard Cohen, president of Richard Cohen Landscape.  “This award is given to the best residential project for the year. To know that our project was considered the best out of all the beautiful entries in California is quite an honor.”

Award entries in the CLCA Trophy Awards program are judged on quality workmanship and materials utilized. The judges are made up of a panel of expert landscape professionals from other regions in the state. Moreover, each landscaping entry must adhere to industry standards and have properly shown an execution of detail in plant placement, turf conditions, functionality, efficiency of irrigation and overall presentation.

Richard Cohen Landscape also was awarded seven local awards from the Orange County CLCA, including a top Sweepstakes Award for best overall landscape.
