Rain Bird Training Services will host more than 85 irrigation training events throughout the US from September through May.
The classes are open to irrigation professionals at all experience levels, including contractors, distributors, golf course superintendents, designers and architects. Attendees of Rain Bird training classes are eligible to receive continuing education units (CEUs) from the Irrigation Association (IA).
“With all of the water issues present throughout the world today, there’s never been a more urgent need for quality irrigation training,” said Paul Lierheimer, director of Rain Bird’s Contractor Division. “By attending Rain Bird Services training classes, irrigation professionals can learn how to help their customers use less water in the pursuit of beautiful, healthy landscapes.”
Rain Bird Training Services offers two different training programs, Rain Bird Factory Trained and Rain Bird Academy, designed to help irrigation professionals enhance their skill sets and improve their career prospects.
Rain Bird Factory Trained classes provide training on Rain Bird products and help attendees become experts on installing, managing and maintaining Rain Bird irrigation systems. Rain Bird Services will offer 45 Factory Trained events during the 2015-2016 training season. Due to the hands-on nature of these classes, space is limited.
Rain Bird Academy classes provide general irrigation skills training on products from various manufacturers. This training track includes Rain Bird’s Boot Camp classes, which are endorsed as “IA Select” courses. Rain Bird Academy classes are also available to prepare individuals for the IA’s certification exams (Irrigation Technician, Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor, Certified Golf Irrigation Auditor, Certified Irrigation Designer and Certified Irrigation Consultant). Rain Bird Services will offer 42 Rain Bird Academy events during the upcoming training season.
Rain Bird Services also offers on-site, customized training for medium and large irrigation contractors, public agencies and irrigation distributors.
