Band Blitz II, a fundraiser benefiting Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops and Delano American Legion, is set for Sept. 8 from 7 to 11 p.m.

The benefit will feature live music, food, drink and raffle drawings. It will take place at the Delano American Legion parking lot in Delano, Minn.

Dick Jonckowski, long-time PA announcer for the University of Minnesota and state high school sporting events, will serve as emcee for the night. Local band Little Chicago will be headlining the event with appearances by former members of the Delano River Band and opening act, West Highway. Food and beverages provided by the Delano American Legion will be available for purchase.

Raffle tickets for Toro lawn equipment also will be available. Raffle prizes include a Toro 22-inch Personal Pace PoweReverse walk-behind lawn mower, 22-inch Personal Pace AWD walk-behind lawn mower, 13-inch PowerPlex cordless string trimmer/edger with a 40-v lithium ion battery and a 24-inch PowerPlex hedge trimmer bare tool with a 40-v lithium ion battery.

Nufarm is the presenting sponsor of GreenCare for Troops. The Toro Co. and SiteOne Landscape Supply are the platinum partners for the event.
