As Project EverGreen’s GreenCare for Troops program enters its ninth year, the organization launched its first ever National GreenCare for Troops Awareness Week April 19-25.

GreenCare for Troops, supported by The Toro Co., is a nationwide outreach program designed to connect local green industry professionals with men and women serving in the armed forces away from home. The program helps volunteers provide complimentary lawn and landscape services for military families.

This season, in addition to providing services to families of deployed military personnel, the program will now offer services to wounded and disabled veterans. Snow removal services will be provided for a nine to 12 month period for eligible wounded or disabled veterans. Active-duty military members are eligible during deployments.
