People on the Move: Brown, Bowe, Misch, Cantrell

The Andersons’ board of directors appointed Pat Bowe to President and CEO, effective Nov. 2. Bowe will succeed Mike Anderson, who will remain the Maumee, Ohio-based company’s chairman of the board. Bowe, who most recently served as corporate vice president of Cargill, will also assume a role on the company’s board of directors. According to The Andersons, Bowe has experience leading large organizations with expertise in commodity and futures trading, acquisitions and joint ventures, process improvement, strategic sourcing, capital management, and establishing and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Lambert Landscape Co. of Dallas hired Ron Brown as sales manger. Brown assumed responsibility for strategic growth across all the firm’s service lines, including landscape architecture, construction, gardens services and tree care. Brown previously served as director of business development for America Civil Constructors, business developer for ValleyCrest, vice president of North Texas Sales for Acequia, and director of sales and marketing for Site Planning Site Development.

The Davey Tree Expert Co. of Kent, Ohio, promoted Andrew Misch to Western recruiter/trainer. Misch started with Davey in 2013 as a foreman/climber and as a plant health care technician in Davey’s Southeast Chicago Residential/Commercial office. Misch is a 2015 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, which is Davey’s training program in biological sciences, safety, tree and plant care and management techniques. Misch will manage recruiting and training in the Western region, which includes Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho.

Takeuchi—US hired Kent Cantrell as its Northwest regional product manager. Cantrell will be in charge of all development and activity for equipment sales within the Northwest region. His primary responsibilities include product training for dealer sales staff, assisting with equipment demonstrations, interaction with end users and supporting efforts in retailing, training and growing the business in his territory, the company said. Cantrell brings to the job nearly 15 years of experience in sales and rental of compact construction equipment.
