ASV Holdings, a provider of rubber-tracked compact track loaders and wheeled skid-steer loaders, named Justin Rupar vice president of sales and marketing. Rupar will be responsible for the overall management of sales and marketing and distribution of ASV products worldwide.

Rupar joins ASV with more than 25 years of experience from leading global industrial equipment companies, having spent 16 years in senior sales and marketing positions with both Yanmar America and Yamaha Motor Corp. U.S. He has been successful in building dealer, distributor and captive OEM dealer networks and has built and implemented various marketing strategies and tools as well as training programs with P&L responsibility for business units he has led.

Justin has earned his master’s from The University of Georgia, Terry College of Business, and completed his undergraduate degree at St. John’s University and the University of Salzburg in Salzburg, Austria.

Phil Kerchner has joined Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply as the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic regional manager.

Kerchner has more than 35 years in the green industry, most of which supported growth and operational efforts along the East coast. He will be aiding Ewing’s expansion efforts, including selecting and opening locations, hiring teams, developing Ewing’s awareness and working closely with the Ewing Rain Bird Golf team in the area. Kerchner’s region expands from Virginia to Maine.

Most recently, Kerchner served as the business development director at Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting. His role there was to find new market opportunities and support the individual district sales managers in the eastern U.S. Prior to Vista, Kerchner was with John Deere Landscapes for 14 years, most recently serving as its regional vice president.

Kerchner earned a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and forestry from West Virginia University.

Environmental Science, a business unit of the Crop Science division of Bayer, appointed Kayla Brugman to T&O product manager and Alison McFee to herbicide product manager.

Brugman will manage ongoing collaboration with the broader product management team in the conceptualization, planning and implementation of strategic marketing plans that effectively address the evolving needs of Bayer customers. Brugman joined the Crop Science division of Bayer in 2014 as a member of the Commercial Excellence Leadership Program where she led projects and completed rotations in customer strategy, marketing communications and product management. Brugman earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from Iowa State University.

McFee will collaborate with product development, regulatory, supply chain and customer service teams to harness customer insights and develop comprehensive marketing plans for the herbicide portfolio. In her five years with Bayer, she most recently served as programs and incentives manager for the Bayer Crop Science division. In this role, she ensured implementation and optimization of local pricing strategies to meet strategic business objectives. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in marketing with a minor in communications studies from the University of Iowa.

The Davey Tree Expert Co. promoted Lou Stevens to regional vice president, PG&E operations, Davey Tree Surgery Co., a subsidiary of Davey Tree.

Stevens joined Davey in 1976 as a groundman and has held several roles of increasing responsibility since then. Most recently, he held the position of operations manager for Davey Tree Surgery.

“Lou has been with the company for over 40 years now,” said Larry Evans, vice president and general manager of Davey Tree Surgery. “His dedication and strong client relationships have been a constant throughout his Davey career, and he is more than prepared for success in this new role.”

Stevens is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist Utility Specialist and holds a Qualified Applicator License. He served as a member of Davey’s President’s Council and is a graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, the company’s flagship training program.

Davey Tree also promoted Laura Wimer to director of client experience, Eastern Utility.

Wimer joined Davey in 2008 as an operations administrator in the Utility department, and in 2015, she was promoted to financial manager of Eastern Utility.

“Laura has demonstrated great commitment to our clients, operational teams and industry,” said Brent Repenning, executive vice president of U.S. Utility and Davey Resource Group. “Her ability to connect with clients and her dedication to constant improvement have set her up for success as she takes on this new role.”

Wimer holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and administration from Hiram College and a master’s degree in business administration from Tiffin University.

Additionally, Davey promoted Dennis Jenkins to senior account manager.

Jenkins joined Davey Tree in 1989 as a groundman. He moved through the crew level roles until being promoted to general foreman in 1999. In 2005, he was promoted to supervisor, and later that year, he was named account manager.

“Dennis has been with Davey for almost 30 years now, and his dedication never wavers,” said Doug Bour, utility operations manager, Mid-Atlantic region. “He builds and maintains excellent relationships with clients, and I know he will keep his focus on excellent client service in this new role.”

Jenkins is a graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences.

Kendall Anderegg, president of Mutual Materials Co. in Bellevue, Wash., was elected Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI) chair by the board of directors. Previously, she served as board chair-elect for two years and chair of the ICPI marketing committee.

In addition, the Board elected the following individuals to officer positions:

• Chair-Elect: Marshall Brown, Ph.D., president, ACM Chemistries;
• Secretary/Treasurer: Ed Fioroni, Ph.D, vice president of sales, Keystone Hardscapes; and
• Immediate Past Chair: Matt Lynch, president, Anchor, an Oldcastle Co.

Five other industry leaders were elected to at-large board positions for 2018-2021:

• Dean Jurik, vice president, sales and marketing, ACM Chemistries (re-elected);
• Bill McHugh, national sales manager, GCP Applied Technologies (newly elected);
• William Miller, vice president, sales and marketing, Lehigh Cement Co. (newly elected);
• Paul Pignatelli, manager, Best Way Stone (newly elected); and
• Andy Savoie, manager, Brooklin Concrete Products Corp. (re-elected).

Two other ICPI members were newly appointed to the Board by virtue of chairing ICPI Committees:

• Darrin Braun, (Chair, ICPI Education Committee), sales representative, County Materials Corporation; and
• Terri Grulke (Chair, ICPI Meetings, Membership, & Trade Show Committee), director, corporate advertising, Besser Co.

With the entire ICPI Board, these elected and appointed Board members represent segmental concrete pavement manufacturers, industry suppliers and segmental pavement contractors. In all, the ICPI board of directors is comprised of 32 industry executives representing companies serving the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Massey Services promoted Perry Brown to southwest Florida regional manager. Brown will be responsible for all aspects of operations including sales, service, training and community relations in this region, which covers Brandon, Sarasota, Bradenton, Port Charlotte, Fort Myers and Naples.

Brown joined Massey Services in 2012 and first served as the residential general manager of the Naples service center. In 2016, he became general manager of the GreenUP Naples service center.

“Perry has done an exceptional job leading both our pest/termite and landscape service centers in Naples, and his commitment to our customers is outstanding,” said Massey. “His leadership, work ethic and excellent people skills will allow him to continue to be successful in his new role.”

Prior to joining Massey Services, Brown owned a medical apparel and equipment company in Indiana and Kentucky for eight years. He had also previously worked in a partnership role between Foot Locker and the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three years as the team’s director of special events.
