Arbortech Professional Tree Care joined Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada. Davey acquired about a dozen Arbortech employees and the company’s customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Arbortech Owner Ian Johnston will stay on board to help with the transition.
“We are continually looking to align ourselves with companies who share our values,” said John Arico, regional vice president for Davey’s Canadian operations. “For that reason, Arbortech was a natural fit.”
Davey’s Mark Wright will serve as district manager of the Strathroy, Ontario, office. Wright was most recently the district manager of the Kitchener, Ontario, office, and he has worked for Davey for almost 25 years.
Arbortech, a southwest Ontario-based tree care company founded in 1994, serves clients in Strathroy, Ontario, the Lake Huron area and the Lake Erie area.
