Noon Turf Care acquires company, has more in the works

|

Marlborough, Mass.-based Noon Turf Care acquired the residential side of Premier Lawn Care, expanding its customer base in the Boston West area by 300 clients.

And while he was hushed to disclose the amount of the acquisition, Noon Turf Care CEO Christopher Noon said the Massachusetts-based company expects to add $250,000 in annual revenue from the purchase.

“We are very excited to welcome Premier Lawn’s customers to our family,” Noon said. “Noon Turf Care and Premier Lawn Care have very similar values in regards to our company’s cultures of total customer satisfaction.”

Owned and operated by Michael Bouchard, Premier Lawn Care has serviced the Boston West area for the past decade.

“Mr. Bouchard has done a phenomenal job building a quality service and we are ready to continue this for him,” Noon said.

Bouchard will hold up the commercial side of Premier Lawn Care until yearend, when he likely will join Noon Turf Care, Noon said.

Noon Turf Care also aims to keep 90 to 100 percent of Premier’s employees and will absorb its facility. The company typically retains employees when it does acquisitions, Noon said.

Partly for that reason, Noon said there is a spur of local interest in selling to his company this year. It’s close to closing a deal with another local business similar in size to Premier Lawn Care and is in talks with several others.

“We have probably a handful right now that are in the pipeline; I don’t know where the demand is coming from,” he said speculating it could be receiving some of TruGreen’s prospective sellers since the company has eased up on buying this year.

The trust in selling to a local company, Noon said, also could be a motive.

“We’re always connecting with companies in the area. Eventually when they decide they want to sell, we’re a great option because we’re a local, private company,” Noon said. “They’re seamless transitions.”
