NHLA to put on 9 seminars at GIE+EXPO

2013_GIE+EXPOBadge362cSolid650b2014 GIE+EXPO goers will have the opportunity to attend seminars in Spanish and English presented by the National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA).

This year’s GIE+EXPO is scheduled for Oct. 22-24 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in in Louisville, Ky. With a large and growing number of Hispanics that work in the landscape industry, the NHLA is putting on its seminars to provide Hispanics an opportunity to benefit from the learning opportunities available at the trade show. In addition, the courses also benefit English speakers with Hispanic workforces.

Seminars include the following.

Oct. 23:

  • “Ensuring Clear Communication through all Stages of Every Job,” from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (Spanish);
  •  “Building Training Programs for your Latino Workforce,” from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (English);
  • “Becoming a Leader in the Green Industry,” from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. (Spanish); and
  • “The Keys to Satisfied Long-Term Customers,” from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. (Spanish).

Oct. 24:

  • “Motivate with Money,” from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (Spanish);
  • “Motivate with Money,” from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. (English);
  • “Developing Latino Leaders,” from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. (English);
  • “Intercultural Dynamics,” from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. (Spanish); and
  • “Understanding your Latino Workforce,” from 3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m (English).
