NALP releases consumer website

|

The National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) launched a new website, LoveYourLandscape.org, as part of its national consumer outreach program.

The website gives consumers the opportunity to see designs, receive advice and hire a professional in their area. Companies that are members of NALP are included in the search database.

“Love Your Landscape looks and feels like major consumer websites like HGTV.com, with great information and photos, but the difference is that ours has the strength of industry messaging behind it, touts the benefits of lawns and managed landscapes and highlights the need to hire a professional,” NALP CEO Sabeena Hickman said. “This site is the first project produced by the IGI which is tasked with growing and protecting the industry.”

According to NALP, the new website has nearly 150 articles, inspiration galleries and videos to educate and inspire consumers. New content will be added monthly.

“We encourage all industry professionals to share the content on the website and social media platforms,” said Missy Henriksen, vice president of public affairs for NALP. “It’s important to collectively promote the professionalism in our industry and make sure the public knows that amazing landscapes are designed and created by experienced professionals, and by doing that we will increase the market share, visibility, and respect for our industry.”
