An affiliate of New York-based private equity firm CI Capital Partners has acquired a majority interest in SavATree. The management team of SavATree has a significant equity ownership in the company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

SavATree, a tree, shrub and lawn care services company based in Bedford Hills, N.Y., serves customers in 12 states through 25 locations. The company ranks No. 15 on the LM150 list of largest landscape companies, due out later this month, with $89.7 million in 2016 revenue. It acquired companies in Colorado and Virginia earlier this year.

Since 1985, under the leadership of Daniel van Starrenburg, who will remain CEO, SavATree has expanded through both organic growth and eleven strategic add-on acquisitions. The partnership with CI Capital will enable the company to continue its growth and expansion into new regions of the U.S.
