The LandOpt Contractor Network presented company and individual awards at its eighth annual Operations Field Day, held July 31-Aug. 1. This year’s event was hosted by Michael Bellantoni Inc. in White Plains, N.Y.
“Giving these awards shows landscape contractors that goals can be made and met successfully,” said Success Coach Mark Borrasso.
Company winners included:
- Eichenlaub – best performance against gross profit margin plan, project; and
- SGK Landscapes – best performance against gross profit margin plan, maintenance.
Individual award winners included:
- Canaan Blair, The Greathouse Co., Rookie Project Manager of the Year;
- Jordan McCumbee, Carolina Creations Landscapes, Project Manager of the Year;
- Matt Winn, The Greathouse Co., Rookie Account Manager of the Year; and
- Randy Wood, Belknap Landscape Co., Account Manager of the Year.
Day one kicked off with a Bellantoni site tour and ended with a private boat cruise past New York City and around Lady Liberty.
Day two was held at Ridge Road Park where Brian Carolan, technical sales specialist from Stihl, discussed safety culture, noise abatement and OSHA regulations.
Attendees met with Operations Field Day sponsors, such as JCB, Neely Coble, Horticultural Alliance, Stihl, Husqvarna, MicroLife, A.M. Leonard and Salesforce. Operations Olympics followed as the team-building event.
