JCB releases new compact excavators

|

JCB-excavatorsJCB unveiled three new compact excavators: the 48Z-1, the 55Z-1 and the 57C-1. The models are available in conventional and zero tail swing configurations.

These new compact excavators feature an upgraded hydraulic system and a redesigned digging end. A longer main boom and shorter dipper arm provide up to 5 percent greater dump height, the company said.

A new cab design allows operators to set auxiliary hydraulic flows for two separate attachments from the cab, and the menu mode button switches the rotary dial between throttle modes, including a one-touch idle function and menu mode.

The optional Safe Lift’s lift overload warning system sounds an audible warning if the machine approaches overload and incorporates a green-amber-red graphic in the new monitor panel.

All three excavators come with a JCB by Kohler EPA Tier 4 Final engine without a diesel particulate filter (DPF). Access to the engine was improved with wide-opening steel canopies at the rear and to the side of the machine. The new cab also features a removable floor section, requiring no tools to access major hydraulic components.

All models are available with JCB’s LiveLink telematic monitoring and location service, providing customers with machine work hour data, fuel level and consumption information and a host of critical system alerts.
