Helena Chemical Co. introduced Receptor, its EPA-registered plant growth regulator. According to the company, this product features a combination of three plant growth regulators: IBA, gibberellic acid and kinetin.

Labeled for increased fertilizer uptake and efficiency, Receptor enhances root system development and contributes to a stronger, faster-growing plant, reports Helena Chemical, which results in increased nutrient and moisture uptake.

When blended with different fertilizer elements, Receptor provides specific and unique benefits to plants, says Helena Chemical. For example, with nitrogen, Receptor reduces nitrate leaching and increases plant uptake; and with phosphorus or phosphorus blends, Receptor protects phosphorus from binding with calcium, aluminum and iron.

Receptor can be applied at low rates on a variety of plant species and grasses with liquid fertilizers and plant nutritional products.
