Growth spurs new hires, promotions at Ruppert Landscape

Ruppert Landscape, located in Laytonsville, Md., hired Sebastian Velez- Lopez and promoted Trevor Mann, Sean Davitt, Stacy Fryfogle and Charlotte McGehee at the company’s Maryland landscape construction branch to accommodate its growth.

Velez-Lopez will serve as assistant production manager. He is a recent graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park where he earned a BS in plant sciences.

Mann was promoted to assistant production manager and has been with Ruppert Landscape for two years, previously a field manager. He graduated from the University of North Florida with a BA in construction management and holds his Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30 certification.

Davitt was promoted to production manager. He has been with Ruppert Landscape for more than four years, having previously worked as project manager. In his current position, he will be responsible for all aspects of the installation of traditional landscape projects, including supervising field personnel, managing subcontractors, overseeing projects, communicating to customers and maintaining quality standards.Sean graduated from West Virginia University with a BA in agricultural business. He is OSHA 30 certified and a 2013 platinum level graduate of the Associated Builders & Contractors Leadership Development Program.

Fryfogle was promoted to purchaser, making him responsible for sourcing, acquiring and delivering most materials necessary for all landscape installation projects at the branch level and negotiating purchases with vendors and subcontractors. She previously served as a branch administrator for Ruppert Landscape and has supported other roles in the company during her four-year tenure. Fryfogle won the 2013 Branch Impact Award in the Maryland landscape maintenance branch for her dedication and contributions to the branch. 

McGehee was promoted to project manager. In this role, she will be responsible for all aspects of the administration and installation of large or specialty landscape projects in the Maryland area. McGehee started at Ruppert Landscape as an intern while in college and has been with the company for four years. She graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA in international studies and a minor in French. McGehee is the elected secretary of the Montgomery County Executive Appointed Agricultural Advisory Committee and also has been accepted to the ABC Leadership Development Program for 2014.
