SCG Partners acquired the assets of three landscape maintenance companies in Melbourne, Fla. The acquired companies—Green Leaf Landscaping & Irrigation, M&M Professional Grounds Maintenance and A New Look Lawn Care—will operate under the name Green Leaf Landscaping & Irrigation. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Green Leaf’s services include landscape maintenance, pruning/trimming, tree services, mulch, fertilization, pest control, irrigation and landscape installation services.

SCG Partners, a middle-market private equity fund, seeks additional, long-term transaction opportunities in the landscape maintenance industry and plans to make additional add-on acquisitions to deepen local market penetration and expand geographic coverage, the company said. SGC plans to engage in a consolidation strategy through acquiring landscaping companies in the Southeastern U.S., SCG Partners Advisory Board Member Alan Jaffa said. Jaffa also serves as CEO of Safeguard Properties, a Cleveland-based provider of property management services for the mortgage industry.
