Two Northern California companies, Marizco Landscape Management and Coast Landscape Management (Coast LM), merged operations on Oct. 1.
“Both companies have similar values and a commitment to excellence,” said Kelly Solomon, CEO of Coast LM. Both Coast LM and Marizco were dubbed “Best Places to Work” by the North Bay Business Journal earlier this year.
Coast LM, ranked No. 146 on the 2015 LM150 list of the largest landscape companies with $8.3 million in 2015 revenue. It has five locations throughout the Bay Area, Napa and Sacramento. The merger adds a sixth location in Marin.
Coast LM is managed by a partnership between Lebo and Merrill Newman and Rob and Kelly Solomon.
The Newmans are the former owners of Redwood Landscaping in Santa Rosa, Calif., which they sold to LandCare in 1998. They’re also the current partners of Signature Landscapes, based in Reno, Nen. The Solomons owned the former UpValley Landscape in Napa, Calif.
The owner of Marizco Landscape, Pierre Marizco, will stay on board during the transition, and then he plans to pursue a career in real estate.
“We are sharing best practices and will continue to deliver outstanding landscape management services in Sonoma and Marin County,” Kelly Solomon said. “The merger will bring more resources to bear in both of our operations to better serve our clients.”
