UTA, NovaSource launch ATL 70 informational sites

|

In the wake of the voluntary stop-sale notice for ArmorTech ALT 70, United Turf Alliance (UTA) and TKI NovaSource set up an informational website, Twitter and Facebook account. The purpose of the website and social media accounts is to share information and recent incidents surrounding the ATL 70 fungicide.

The website’s pages include a news and updates section, a breakdown of the situation, a statement from the manufacturer and more. The social media accounts, which began posting on June 10, link to pages from the website.

ArmorTech ALT 70 came under scrutiny after multiple golf courses reported extensive turf loss. The product, manufactured by Tessenderlo Kerley, is a systemic fungicide with the active ingredient fosetyl aluminium. It’s labeled for use on golf courses, sod farms and commercial turf areas.

An investigation is underway to review use patterns, programs and their effects on turf.
