TruGreen is donating more than $125,000 to 10 local and national charities as part of the company’s Lawn Stars program. Each quarter in 2015, TruGreen awarded local branches demonstrating exceptional growth and customer service with a $2,000 donation towards the nonprofit of their choice.

“After launching Lawn Stars several years ago, it has quickly turned into one of the most popular programs at TruGreen,” said TruGreen President and CEO David Alexander. “This enthusiasm reflects how much our teams value and appreciate giving back to the neighborhoods we serve and the people who help build them. We reward our high-performing local offices by helping teams recognize worthy organizations that are doing vital work in the communities where we live and work. We are proud of what our associates achieved this year and are pleased to contribute to several incredible charitable organizations.”

This year, 63 sales and service teams were recognized, with many branches becoming second and third-time winners. For the 2015 season, the Memphis, Tenn.-based organization St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital was a top choice, with branches electing to donate more than $30,000 to the nonprofit.

In addition, TruGreen selected the following organizations to receive donations from the 2015 Lawn Stars program:

  • American Red Cross;
  • Boys & Girls Clubs;
  • Canadian Red Cross;
  • Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation;
  • Cystic Fibrosis Foundation;
  • Feed the Hungry;
  • Habitat for Humanity;
  • Special Olympics;
  • St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; and
  • Wounded Warriors Project.
