Super Lawn Technologies is unveiling a solar-powered charging system for battery-powered lawn care tools at the GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky., Oct. 18-20.

“We believe battery powered hand tools will become the No. 1 choice for contractors seeking ways to lower operating costs, reduce harmful emissions and position their company as a leader in their market area,” said Tony Bass, founder and CEO at Super Lawn Truck.

The Super Mobile Solar Powered Charging System, an addition to the company’s Super Lawn Trucks product line, lets users charge equipment using nothing but the sun. The charger is designed to power a three-man crew’s commercial-grade equipment for a full day of work, the company said.

“The large roof area on the Super Lawn Trucks system is the perfect place to harness the power of the sun with an affordable solar system,” Bass said. “The roomy interior of the enclosed truck body provides the perfect location for the robust electrical components and battery charging stations for fast re-charge of batteries.”

The product is also designed to help business owners save on fuel costs, move businesses away from petroleum, keep workers on task, prevent repairs and position businesses as environmental leaders by reducing carbon emissions, according to the company.

The company will officially reveal the product Oct. 19 at 10:00 a.m. at the Super Lawn Technologies booth (5210) at the GIE+EXPO. It will also select 10 companies to serve as Brand Ambassadors to further beta test the Super Mobile Solar Powered Charging System in the field. Interested companies can apply at the booth.
