SiteOne Landscape Supply, a national wholesale distributor of landscape supplies, acquired two new companies, giving it footprints in the Detroit area, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.
SiteOne acquired American Builders Supply, which has 10 locations in metro Los Angeles and two locations in Las Vegas. Started in 1987, the company specializes in the distribution of hardscape, natural stone and other related products.
“American Builders Supply is a terrific fit with SiteOne as they add depth to our existing hardscape presence in the Southern California and Las Vegas markets,” said Doug Black, CEO of SiteOne Landscape Supply. “The addition of American Builders Supply provides dedicated hardscape centers to complement our strong position in irrigation, agronomics and landscape lighting.”
The company also acquired Angelo’s Supplies, which has two locations—Wixom and Farmington Hills, Mich.—in the Detroit metro area. Started in 1984, the company distributes hardscape and landscape supplies.
This acquisition brings SiteOne’s location total in the Detroit area to 14.
“Angelo’s is a leader in hardscapes and landscape supplies and are also recognized for their expertise in snow mitigation, which we believe presents off-season opportunities for SiteOne to further serve our customers with bulk salt, ice melt products and snow removal equipment,” Black said. “Their talented staff brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in these categories which are a perfect complement to SiteOne’s expertise in irrigation, agronomics, nursery and landscape lighting products.”
These are SiteOne’s third and fourth acquisitions of 2017. The company has acquired numerous companies since going public in May. It also recently opened its first distribution center in Fairborn, Ga., and announced plans for two more.
