Landscape Architects group opens meeting registration

The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), a national professional association for landscape architects founded in 1899 that represents more than 15,000 members in 49 professional chapters and 76 student chapters, has opened registration for it upcoming meeting and exposition.

The 2013 ASLA Annual Meeting and EXPO, which will take place November 15-18 in Boston, attracts an estimated 6,000 attendees. It is one of the largest annual gatherings of landscape architecture professionals and students, according to the ASLA,

This year’s show features the theme “Gaining Ground” and will include more than 130 education sessions, workshops and field sessions for which attendees may earn up to 21 Professional Development hours. The latest products and services from more than 500 exhibitors from around the world will be on display at what is expected to be the largest trade show in ASLA’s history, the organization says.

“More than ever, the landscape architecture profession is in the spotlight for its leadership in addressing environmental concerns,” said ASLA President Thomas R. Tavella. “This meeting offers a great opportunity to explore the latest advances, tools and success stories that will allow us to create healthy, sustainable communities.”
