NHLA’s 2018 Train the Trainer program

February 4 - February 7

The National Hispanic Landscape Alliance (NHLA), will be offering its Train the Trainer program entirely in Spanish for the first time. The program will take place from Feb. 4-7 in Waldorf, Md., and will be taught by NHLA president, Pam Berrios.

Through the program, participants will gain new awareness, skills and knowledge of how to engage others in the learning process. Participants will also learn how to improve their presentation technique and self-confidence, as well as learn how to prepare and present training and measure its effectiveness.

“The NHLA seeks to assist Hispanics to grow as professionals and leaders in the landscape industry, and Train the Trainer has a proven record of success in preparing participants to contribute to the development of their organization’s workforce and learning culture. The program teaches industry professionals how to become more effective trainers and better contribute to the success of their company and co-workers. Train the Trainer has also inspired attendees and emboldened them to advance in their careers,” said Pam Berrios. “We are delighted to offer the program entirely in Spanish for the first time for those whose primary language is not English.”

Participation in the program is limited. The $1,400 registration fee—$1,200 for NHLA members—includes training materials and supplies, lodging, meals and round-trip ground transportation to and from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
