Steve Ferguson, a U.S. Lawns franchisee in Hampton Roads, Va., was featured in Entrepreneur’s “Franchise Players” Q-&-A interview column, advising readers on purchasing and operating a franchise.

Ferguson got his start in the landscape industry at a young age, working at a nursery during high school. With that background, after college, he started his own residential lawn care business working out of his garage. When he decided to take his business to the next level, he turned to U.S. Lawns for franchising opportunities.

Ferguson manages his franchise with his wife, Teana Ferguson, who handles the relationship side of the business while he handles the operational side of things.
