The Davey Tree Expert Co. expanded its residential/commercial operations in Denver.

“The need for tree and landscape services in Denver continues to grow,” said Andy Ferguson, regional operations manager of residential and commercial services. “This new office in South Denver allows us to keep up with the growing demand while still providing our clients with excellent service.”

Vince Distrola has been named the district manager of Davey’s new South Denver office. Distrola holds an associate’s degree in forest technology and a bachelor’s degree in forest science from Pennsylvania State University. He began his Davey career in 2002. An International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist and a Tree Care Industry Association Certified Treecare Safety Professional, Distrola graduated from the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, Davey’s flagship training program, in 2004. Most recently, he was assistant district manager of Davey’s West Denver office.

Greenworks Commercial and Steven Willand Inc. (SWI) have entered into an exclusive distribution partnership.

Through the arrangement, SWI will provide distribution, logistics, service and sales support for both the Greenworks Commercial 82-volt line of tools and the newly launched Greenworks Elite 40-volt line of tools among independent dealers in Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maryland.

The offering of Greenworks Commercial and Greenworks Elite tools will be available through the SWI dealer network beginning in the first quarter of 2018.

Brilar—a commercial landscape and snow maintenance firm headquartered in Detroit—is in the works to open two new branches this spring. Indianapolis & Des Moines, Iowa, will be the company’s fourth and fifth locations throughout the Midwest. Current locations include Detroit; Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Cleveland. The company also serves a select national portfolio of clients through a vast network of service partners.
