The Davey Tree Expert Co. will be expanding its residential/commercial operations by opening an office in the North Shore area of Chicago.

“This new office is going to allow us to provide new clients in the North Shore area with tree and landscape services, while continuing to deliver excellent service to our current clients,” said Geoff Cowan, regional operations manager of residential and commercial services. “Our clients are our top priority and this expansion allows us to continue to deliver on that promise.”

Tom Weidner has been named the district manager of Davey’s North Shore area office. Weidner began his Davey career in 1984. An International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist, Weidner graduated from the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, Davey’s flagship training program, in 2004. Most recently, he was assistant district manager of Davey’s Northeast Chicago office.

Weidner holds an associate’s degree in horticulture from The Ohio State University.
