Club Car offers limited slip differential for new Carryall vehicles

|

Club Car’s new line of 4×2 Carryall utility vehicles and Transporter and Villager transport vehicles now come with an optional automatic limited slip differential (LSD) when ordered with the company’s electronic fuel injection (EFI) powertrain.

According to the company, its automotive-style LSD system operates differently than open or locking differentials.

“Our limited slip system delivers true on-demand traction, without the driver having to manipulate levers or buttons,” says Ross Lyons, utility platform project manager.

Club Car’s LSD system acts as a locking differential when driving in a straight line, providing both tires with power for maximum traction. In addition, its internal clutches allow the tires to turn at different speeds, which can help reduce turf damage, says Lyons.
