BrightView acquired Girard Environmental Services (GES), a commercial landscape maintenance company based in Sanford, Fla. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

GES CEO Rick Girard said the two companies have much in common.

GES specializes in commercial landscape maintenance, construction and facility services.  The company operates nine branches, employs nearly 450 people and serves more than 800 client sites across Florida. It ranks No. 40 on the 2017 LM150 list of largest landscape companies with $39 million in 2016 revenue.

BrightView, which has more than 22,000 team members, ranks No. 1 on the 2017 LM150 list with $2.2 billion in 2016 revenue.
